Eco training for children The Lost Bee

Description
Bees are disappearing worldwide as they face many threats from climate change and habitat loss due to the use of toxic pesticides. At a time when we are taking stock of sustainability in each of its manifestations, Mastercard supported the beekeeping business in Bulgaria, adopting hives of young honey producers and created a movement among its cardholders to support bees and hives on the istinskimed.bg platform.
Now children between the ages of 7 and 12 have the opportunity to participate in the training project "The Lost Bee", in which the cause, digital skills and care for nature meet.
The approach to children is based on the STREAM method (abbreviation for Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts & Maths) - an internationally recognized modern model of education, which is fun to combine with Bulgarian folk art as part of the organizers' program "Tintiri-mintiri".
The children take on the role of the characters from "The Lost Bee" - an instructive tale by Elin Pelin, and experience their events, sufferings and emotions. To get through the challenges that occur in the fairy tale, children apply science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and to create their costumes and take on the role of their character - reading literacy, critical thinking and creativity. In this way we turn the folk tale from an old story into a modern adventure.
The training is bilingual and is conducted by professionals with native Bulgarian and English.
