In 2021 Burgas will have a new modern library on the site of the dilapidated building of the former German Hospital. The building is located on the corner of "St. St. Cyril and Methodius” str. and “Oborishte” str. and was built in 1935. It initially functioned as a German school, then as a hospital, and in the early 1990s became unusable and began to collapse.

The project will be completed in about a year and a half, and the idea is to transform the building of the former German Hospital into a "cultural-educational center (museum) for contemporary art and a library". Once completed, there will be a modern library in the building that will serve the entire library of P. K. Yavorov ".
