Plovdiv is full of great coffee but sometimes it might be hard to navigate those places in an unfamiliar place. So here we list some of the best places to get your daily dose of caffeine, share where to sit down and enjoy a book and some free Wi-Fi with the best-made cappuccino and delicious cookies:
Dwell Coffee House
It is a bright, minimalist space with touches of color — feels like having coffee or tea inside a small art gallery. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and in fact serving some very strong coffee, electrifying cold brew, chocolate-soaked waffles, flavourful lattes and many more. If you are looking for a distraction, the seats at the terrace are perfect for people watching.
Central Perk
For all the “Friends” lovers out there this is the ideal place to feel like part of your favorite sitcom. From the atmosphere to the menu the staff has made sure to perfectly recreate the popular science so you can enjoy your stay fully. The decor of “Central Perk” is clean and minimalistic, so you can focus on their amazing coffee and music.
Costa Café
We know it is a coffeehouse company, but listen up! It is one of the coziest places in the city. Although it may look tiny from the outside it offers various types of coffee, lots of space to sit and work (the Wi-Fi network is great), and laid-back, rustic furniture. Also the espresso drinks there are absolutely delicious. Head here in the morning or midday for a pick me up, order a latté, double espresso or cappuccino to stay or to go.
Dolce Fellini
Located right next to Costa Café, Dolcefellini is known for delicious treats and rich coffee brews. The vibes are quaint, but with a modern pink outlook and the baked goods are plentiful, which makes the café a sacred place for everyone, who has a sweet tooth. The dessert options are countless and with their beautiful presentation are sure to make your mouth water right after you see them. Although the coffee there might be a bit on the pricey side it is absolutely worth it, because it is heavenly good.
Afreddo
If you happen to pass by Afreddo, also known as the “Ice Cream House” you are most likely to see it flooding with people. And there is a very good reason for that. They make the best cappuccino in the city and offer over a dozen different kinds of ice-cream, made specifically for the pastry shop. They have everything! From standard short espresso to American macchiato the choice is yours, but just make sure you come on time or make a reservation beforehand in order to get the best place.
