Where to have fun with the kids on June 1st

Back

June 1 is a day that all children are looking forward to. For the International Children's Day, kids receive gifts, and everyone is figuring out ways to entertain them. This year is no exception and offers various attractions for all children and their parents. We will help you choose where to spend this fun holiday if you are in Gabrovo.

Ethnographic open-air museum Etar

Etara annually prepares a program for the child's holiday. For 2019, the museum invites everyone to participate in the "I can and I know" modules, where children will learn about different crafts. Here's who they are.

Pottery workshop - Here children can dirty their hands and feel how the piece of clay is made in a dish, a vase or a pitcher. The smaller ones will make molded clay figures as well as color them. And the more skillful can try to make clay pots using the "furs" technique, which uses pre-made clay strips.

The magic of tissues - This module of the program enables children to get acquainted with the richness and beauty of traditional Bulgarian patterns, to try to weave on a horizontal or vertical small loom and to understand how hard was for their great-grandmothers to furnish their own homes with rugs, rugs and pillows.

Whoever understands stops here - The children will act as sellers and buyers and will calculate and bargain for their goods. Of course, old measures and weights will be used for this purpose.

Once Upon a Time-This module from the program enables children to impersonate their favorite folk tale heroes with the help of dolls and decorations.

Discover - Learn - This game allows parents and children to have fun together. Through the memory cards representing different old Bulgarian crafts and tools you can check your knowledge and memory.

Grandma and Grandpa games - old and forgotten games and toys. Numerous fun games that will bring many pleasant memories for the grandparents that came with their grandchildren.

 Dechkova house

The Regional Museum of History Gabrovo invites small and grown-up girls and boys on June 1 at 11:00 in front of the Dechkov's House.

The celebration will include children from the Regional Center for Support of the Inclusive Education Process - Gabrovo. There will be games, songs and paintings, with an exhibition under the veranda made from the works. There will also be a festive shop with hand-crafted dolls and souvenirs created by “Liuliache”.

Terra Mall

The Mall will hold two events for the day of the child. First, on May 31, from 18 o'clock, kindergarten "June 1st" organizes a festive concert and a charity bazaar. Everyone who wants to help children is welcome.

At the celebration day, children will be entertained by actors from the drama theater "Racho Stoyanov". They will be dressed as fabulous heroes and will welcome the kids in the candy city of Terra Mall, located on the ground floor. And if you haven’t figured out from the name, there will be plenty of candy and crazy fun.

Puppet theatre

Gabrovo puppet theater has two productions this weekend. On Saturday, at 11 am, the play "Cloud Fairy" will be performed. "Rossi is a very capricious child. She does not drink his milk, throws out her breakfast, does not want to go to kindergarten. But after a dream it all changes. Is the dream the cause or the child has grown up? "Reads the play's summary. On Sunday, June 2, again, at 11 am, the play "The Swan" which is based on the story of Hans Christian Andersen will be held.

Bike race "I ride with a helmet 2"

The more sport oriented kids will be able to join the second edition of the bike race “I ride with a helmet”. The aim of the initiative is to unite the efforts of various institutions and communities to promote mountain biking, sports and entertainment in a preserved natural environment. The race starts at 13:00 in the park in front of the "Sonny" building. The start and finish are in front of the swings. The kids that can take part are from ages 2 to 16.
