It is no coincidence that Vlaykova Cinema is called the last neighborhood cinema in Sofia. It has not stopped working since its opening in 1926, except for the years during World War II. Then, during the bombing of Sofia in 1944, the cinema burned down along with all the equipment. Today it is part of the community center "Anton Strashimirov - 1926" and despite the difficulties has ambitions to continue to work and develop - more modern, but preserving its history and authenticity.
