Two premieres in the maritime capital with one combo ticket.

On August 31 and September 1, premieres of two new programs from the Brass Association portfolio are coming.

31.08 – Intimate with Joji

The long-awaited continuation of the most successful program from the cycle "Meet the Grandpa Joji" - "That wind from the first meeting", started the journey through the treasury bequeathed to us by Yosif Tsankov.

The arranger of the program is again Mihail Yosiffov, and the program itself is called "Intimate with Yoji".

The music of the great Joji will unfold for a new life in the performance of some of the brightest representatives of the modern jazz scene - Mihail Yosiffov - trumpet, Dimitar Liolev - saxophone, Velislav Stoyanov - trombone, Milen Kukosharov - piano, Daniele Febbo - double bass and Atanas Popov - drums.

The festival premiere of the program will be on August 30, within this year's edition of the Apollonia Arts Festival. And immediately after Sozopol, on August 31, the program will be presented at the Menthol Beach Bar, Varna.

"It took me a long time, but apparently I had to mature, to feel ready for the meeting with my great grandfather Yosif Tsankov, whom I unfortunately did not have the chance to know in my lifetime...

But life met me with Misho Yosiffov, Milen Kukosharov, Mitko Liolev, as well as with the rest of the culprits of this journey, some of the most talented and spiritually rich people, and I am lucky that they are by my side while I myself get to know my grandfather. in the only way possible, through the music he left for us.

I am happy to show you a part of my heritage and continue to meet you with my grandfather Joji.

September 1 - SINthesis*

The premiere of the new album SINthesis*, the work of a jazz sextet consisting of Martin Tashev, Dimitar Liolev, Velislav Stoyanov, Milen Kukosharov, Boris Taslev and Atanas Popov - one of the brightest representatives of the capital's and Plovdiv jazz scene.

The storm of emotions and creative ideas of the sextet, known to the capital audience from the traditional jazz meetings on Wednesdays, becomes an incubator for new author's music. With an ensemble of talented musicians, the SINthesis sextet brings grace, intelligence and virtuosity to contemporary jazz. The different temperamental authors of the works and the different forms of their musical expression are a kind of mirror of our multi-layered life. They are not excluded or denied, and music merges them into one.

The creative tandem is part of Milen Kukosharov's Windharmonium Ensemble, and in 2022 Vili Stoyanov created his solo album Some nice melodies... (to share with friends) with this sextet.
